Derrick Hamilton
Inclusion, Accessibility, and Outreach Chair
Derrick Hamilton is a senior (unc, he's old) Theater major on the pre-medical track who is currently crying while writing this bio. In Hoof 'n' Horn, he has appeared as Coalhouse Walker Jr. in Ragtime and Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors, and directed Hairspray. Derrick has a deep passion for improv, clowning around, and, according to him, only does Hoof 'n' Horn for the aura and worshippers. He is interested in working at the intersection of arts and medicine and finding ways to bring his love of theater and performance into his professional life. Both on and offstage, Derrick can usually be found improvising or making questionable decisions.

Austin Rios
Inclusion, Accessibility, and Outreach Chair
Austin is a Junior from Lexington, South Carolina, studying Public Policy and Education, and he is incredibly excited to be joining the Hoof ‘n’ Horn exec team this year! Despite never having done theater until a year ago, he’s now “caught the bug” and can’t wait to help make sure H’n’H works to remain a welcoming and equitable community for Duke students and the broader Durham community. He views theater as one of the best ways to build community that brings varied individuals together to build something greater than themselves. Outside of performing and watching theater, Austin loves to play guitar, volunteer with students, and sampling every smoothie spot he can find.
